1 frame Biography
In the north of Italy, at the very foot of the Alps, there is Lake d’Orta with such blue and transparent water that it seems as if a piece of the sky, having once rained, remained forever in the rocky shores. Near this lake, the small town of Omegna is very conveniently located, whose narrow streets and low houses are buried in greenery and flowers. It was there that Gianni Rodari was born on October 23, 1920.
The boy's father, Giuseppe Rodari, was a baker - the owner of a small bakery and bakery and grocery store.
As a child, Gianni Rodari was sick a lot, he was very weak child. Despite this, he learned to play the violin, composed poetry, drew with pleasure and dreamed of becoming a famous artist. When the boy was 9 years old, his father died. The family has had a difficult time. To feed her family (Gianni had two more brothers - Cesare and Mario), her mother got a job as a servant in a rich house.
Gianni Rodari had to study at the theological seminary - there they not only taught the children of the poor, but also fed and clothed them for free. After graduating from the seminary in 1937, he was forced to go to work to help his family. Rodari became a teacher in primary school and at the same time attended lectures at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Milan.
Gianni Rodari liked working with children, he came up with funny and instructive stories for his students. His pupils built houses from letters, together with the teacher they composed fairy tales.
Maybe he was not a very good teacher: he was too young. special education he didn’t have, and perhaps he wasn’t a “learned” teacher, but he was a fun teacher. He said: “I told in the class - both because I loved children and because I myself was not averse to having fun - stories that had nothing to do with reality and common sense - stories that I thought up ... " And the guys were terribly interested in learning, because "you can enter reality from the main entrance, but you can climb into it - and this is much more fun for children - through the window." Many of his fairy tales were born right at school lessons: "Journey of the Blue Arrow", "Jeep on TV", "Gelsomino in the land of liars", "Tales on the phone".
And then Rodari decided to write down these stories and continued to write them down even when he moved to another job, to the newspaper. When the publishers found out about poems and fairy tales, they gladly began to publish them in newspapers, children's magazines, and publish them as separate books.
2 frame Exhibition
The tales of Rodari are very interesting and informative. The most famous of them is the fairy tale story "The Adventures of Chipollino" (1951, the Russian translation of Marshak was published in 1953) about an onion boy and his friends. The heroes of this fairy tale live in a fantasy country inhabited by little men-vegetables, little men-fruits. The fairy tale constantly combines reality and fiction. The author made it a rule: entertaining, talking about serious things. Cheerful, never discouraged, Cipollino protects the poor, fights for justice, opposes cruelty and evil. The work gained especially wide popularity in the USSR, where an animated cartoon (1961) was shot on it, and then the film the fairy tale "Cipollino" (1973), where Gianni Rodari starred in an episodic role.
They say that when Gianni Rodari came to Moscow with his daughter Paolina, the girl suddenly saw familiar characters in the window of a toy store - Chippolino, Signor Tomato, Prince of Lemon. The writer was very pleased: his childhood dream came true - the heroes of the book turned into toys! And it happened in a country that Rodari loved very much. Isn't this a fairy tale!

3 frame Recognition
In Italy, Gianni Rodari remained unknown as a writer for a long time, and he perceived himself only as a journalist. His name became popular primarily due to numerous translations into Russian. The best translations of Rodari's poems belong to Samuil Marshak. Only after the Adventures of Cipollino was translated into Russian in 1953 did the triumphal procession of the works of Gianni Rodari begin around the world. Over time, and in the homeland of the writer - in Italy, Rodari's poems and fairy tales began to be included in school textbooks.
For three decades of literary work, Gianni Rodari published more than a dozen books for children - in verse and prose.
Gianni Rodari hated lies and hypocrisy, he taught the same to his readers: "It seems to me that the most dangerous enemies of mankind are liars. There are hundreds of liars in the world ... A liar is one who speaks peace, but in fact stands for war ... I really believe in the power of truth ... The truth is like the voice of a singer - that voice from which window panes tremble." It was with this voice that Rodari endowed Gelsomino, and this magical gift allowed the boy to resist the kingdom of Liars. In the struggle for truth, the writer's weapon is the word. And Gianni Rodari mastered these weapons to perfection.
Gianni Rodari's books have been translated into dozens of languages and are known all over the world.
In 1970, the writer was awarded the most honorable international prize in the field of children's literature - the Hans Christian Andersen Medal. Receiving the award, the writer said: "I think that fairy tales - old and modern - help to develop the mind. Thousands of hypotheses are stored in fairy tales. Fairy tales can give us the keys to enter reality in new ways. They open the world to the child and teach how to transform it..."
Let's remember well this wise lesson of a cheerful teacher - Gianni Rodari.

Ivanova I. N.

Shumerlya. 2010

Leading: Gianni (Giovanni) Rodari was born on October 23, 1920 in the small town of Omegna in northern Italy. This town is located in the mountains, near Lake d "Orta, in the center of which an ancient castle rises on an island. Narrow streets, low houses, immersed in greenery and flowers.

Gianni's father's name was Giuseppe, he was a baker - he kept a small bakery and a shop with her. In a poor family, a happy family atmosphere reigned, permeated with love and care. When the boy was nine years old, his father died.

To feed the family, the mother got a job as a servant in a rich house. Gianni Rodari and his two brothers Cesare and Mario grew up in their mother's native village of Varesotto. Gianni studied at the theological seminary - there they not only taught the children of the poor, but also fed and clothed them for free. After three years of study, Rodari received a teacher's diploma and at the age of 17 began teaching in primary school rural school. Gianni Rodari loved working with children, he liked to invent funny and instructive stories for them: “... I dare to say that I was not a boring teacher. I told in class - both because I loved children and because I myself was not averse to having fun - stories that had nothing to do with reality and common sense - stories that I thought up.

An example of such a funny story is the poem "The Story of One Comma":

HISTORY OF ONE COMMA

In the world, without knowing worries,

Calmly lived Comma.

But the student is careless

Without a shadow of a doubt

He put it up at the end of the sentence.

The poor thing had to be alone

Hold the whole line.

She blushed,

Was out of strength

She moaned, puffed with an effort.

The Exclamation Sign hurried to help her

And all Commas are girlfriends.

But it's too late! Can't bear the pain

(Oh pity!)

The poor thing died in agony.

The teacher, wielding a pencil,

She was buried under a huge cross.

And side by side

Strict and red, like a poppy,

A monument arose

In Italy, as in Russia, all children love to receive gifts. At Christmas, they also write letters, but not to Santa Claus, but to the fairy Befana:

Is it true, fairies are sometimes nocturnal

Do they pour gifts into a woolen stocking?

Is it true, fairies on holiday toys

Do they put good children under pillows?

I was not naughty, I behaved well,

But I didn't find anything in the stocking.

Dear fairy, on New Year's Eve

Your train must run today.

Only I'm afraid that in the train soon

You will sweep through our spaces

Past the miserable little houses and huts,

Past the good but poor guys.

Fairy, we will be grateful to you,

If you choose the freight train.

Let him stand at any yard,

Where the kids are waiting for you!

J. Rodari. Letter to the Fairy (translated by S. Marshak)

Fairy tale action "Journey to GoluArrow Fight" starts in the toy store. Its mistress is the Fairy, on Christmas Eve she delivers gifts to children, flying on a broomstick. But not all parents can order a gift for the Fairy, because you need to pay real, not fabulous money for it, and often the children of the poor do not receive gifts. One of these children is the boy Francesco. Francesco was 10 years old, he was in the 4th grade, and after school he worked: he sold newspapers, he sold sweets to the audience in the cinema. A boy dreams of a Blue Arrow toy train, but his mother doesn't have the money for such an expensive gift. And now the toys, taking pity on the boy, run away from the store and go on a journey to please Francesco and other poor children. Those of you who read this tale remember how on Christmas night the Blue Arrow train rushed through the fog and blizzard so that all the children would receive gifts for Christmas. Let's remember what kind of toys they were.

Fruit and garden country -

In one of the fairy tale books there is it,

And in it is a vegetable boy,

He is brave, fair, mischievous! (Cipollino)

That's right, this is Cipollino from the fairy tale "The Adventures of Cipollino". And who came up with this funny hero? (Gianni Rodari)

Gianni Rodari is a famous Italian children's writer. He wrote more than one fairy tale for children and is the author of poetry collections. His books are popular in many countries of the world.

He was no different from his peers, who, having run away from home, loved to wander around the island of San Giulio, in the middle of the lake. The ancient castle located there attracted the children with dilapidated towers, mysterious galleries and rumors about hidden treasures.

But unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the mysterious castle very often. Zhdanni's father had a tiny bakery, and with it a shop. Gianni and his brother often had to help their father. Even before the roosters, the father and sons had to get up to have time to knead the dough. It swelled and bubbled. And it seemed to Gianni that tiny wizards lived in it, making moves for themselves in order to get out. It was fun to come up with all sorts of funny stories about them. But soon it all ended. Gianni's father is dead.

Gianni's family fell on hard times after the death of his father. I had to leave my house and move to another city, where my mother, after a long search, found work as a maid. The work is unenviable, but there was no choice. We had to support the children.

And Gianni was studying at that time. And very good indeed. And whoever he dreamed of becoming - a violinist, and a toy master, and an artist. But after graduating from school, he ended up in a theological seminary, because they didn’t take money for studying there. True, he could not stand more than two years in the walls of the seminary. So Rodari did not become a priest. But he became a teacher.

But the war interrupted his teaching career. World War II. Rodari fought against the Nazis in the ranks of the Italian Resistance. But after the war, Rodari, to the great regret of his students, did not return to school. By that time, he was already fascinated by journalism. And very soon the young talented journalist was noticed and invited to Milan - to the editorial office of the Unita newspaper. Chief Editor soon organized a “Corner for Children” there and entrusted it to a former school teacher, Gianni Rodari. It was there that his first humorous poems appeared:

"He weaves chairs,

For you to sit

And he sits on the panel.

Who makes cars

Walking down the street,

And those who sewed shoes for you,

They often go barefoot.

Sometimes the bees don't have honey in the hive

The farmer has no land

A man weaving chairs

He sits on the ground in the dust."

"Children's Corner" was a great success. Enthusiastic readers literally bombarded the newspaper with letters. In the end, Rodari was invited to the capital's editorial office "Unita" and offered to create an appendix to the newspaper - a weekly children's magazine"Pioniere" ("Pioneer"). The magazine has been created. And here, on its pages, the story-tale "The Adventures of Cipollino" (1951) was first printed. Very funny fairy tale about very serious things - about poverty and wealth, about the oppressors and the oppressed, and even, strange as it may sound when applied to a children's fairy tale, about the class struggle.

The story-tale "The Adventures of Cipollino" made the name of Gianni Rodari known to the whole world.

Do you want to know

How are fairy tales born?

How to invent them

Without any hint?

Tales are everywhere

They live hiding

In any subject

surrounding us.

Even in a simple stool.

Only often

They stand strong.

And hide from our sight

Like Princess Aurora

While the fairy prince

Will not wake the Sleeping Beauty,

A great poet

Won't get into the secret

And reveal to us the real life.

And then there are fairy tales

Just

Without any hint.

In addition to the fairy tale "The Adventures of Cipollino" Gianni Rodari wrote many other fairy tales: "Journey of the Blue Arrow"; "Jeep on TV" (telemania); "Gelsamino in the land of liars"; "Tales on the phone" and others. Guys, do you know who Gianni Rodari is?

Now, guys, we will remember the heroes of the book "The Adventures of Chipollino."

3rd grade students from 31 schools.

E. I. Serikova:

At first I planned to make a trip through the exhibition "Fantasy of Gianni Rodari". But while I was studying the biography and work of this writer, I was so amazed at how talented he was not only as a storyteller and poet, but also as a teacher. As a result, it was difficult to decide on the form of the event. And in the end, half an hour before the children arrived, the idea came up to conduct a lesson according to the method of J. Rodari - a lesson in fantasy, development creativity.

(I invited children living in the microdistrict, i.e., unorganized, to the event. Before the start, colleagues said: “We feel sorry for your efforts. Only three people will come. But 15 came).

A mini-class was organized at the tables.

(After everyone settled down at the tables, it turned out that I forgot the prepared notes about D. Rodari at the other end of the library. But why not follow them ?!)

The lesson began with an unexpected question: “Tell me, what will you do if a crocodile knocks on our door and asks for a piece of sugar?”. Children instantly enter into a dialogue, begin to fantasize and argue.

(There were various questions, for example, “What will you do if you become invisible?” One boy said: “I will beat everyone then”)

Then she talked about Rodari's childhood, about his parents. The children were especially impressed by how Gianni's father fell ill while rescuing a kitten in the rain.

“Next to whom does the sorceress and fairy Fantasia settle?” Leaves the cruel, rude and indifferent.

Children read the poems of Gianni Rodari.

Assignments: I give different items and you need to stage any story. (The items - an umbrella, a hat and a flower - were taken before the start of the event from what came to hand). It's interesting for improvisation. The children were not prepared, but everything turned out perfectly.

Bunny - a cat, a little hungry; the evil Little Red Riding Hood and the kind wolf who loves flowers.

Rodari created an inquisitive Pochemuchka and wrote the book “Why? From what? For what?" Questions were chosen, the children answered them, and I expressively read Rodari's poems.
